Management Development
Businesses require more and more of their managers. They will often retain an element of day-to-day task activity while being expected to oversee operational performance and manage individuals and teams. They may also be expected to make a contribution to strategic discussions and decision making. All of this on the back of limited formal management and leadership development and often in an environment where the demands on more senior individuals means there is little scope for ongoing coaching support.
Typically we can work with managers and supervisors at all levels to help them understand more about a number of key areas:
- What do they know about themselves, their style and preferences and how this potentially impacts on others and the role?
- What is their role, key accountabilities, ‘danger points’, performance and satisfaction triggers etc.?
- Where are the critical relationships, what needs to be done and how to foster positive perceptions?
- What resources do they have, what needs to be done and how to ensure highly motivated and effective employees?
- Which attributes and skills are going to most impact and enable the individual manager to deliver at all the necessary levels?
- What do they need to do to look after themselves and ensure a balanced and successful approach to life and work?
Everything is geared to developing confidence and competence as a result of focusing on the everyday situations and challenges the participant needs to respond to.
